Trademarks in Indonesia can currently be protected in the form of sound marks, holograms, and three-dimensional marks.

Sound marks can be filed for protection with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia. The required documents for registration include notations and sound recordings, as mandated by Article 4, Paragraph 7 of Law No. 20 of 2016 concerning Trademarks and Geographical Indications.

Three-dimensional marks are also eligible for registration. For instance, a perfume bottle can be protected by registering a trademark label that displays a three-dimensional representation of the packaging along with name of its trademark.

For hologram marks, a single hologram brand label can be filed for registration with the DJKI.
